“We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.” This is a quote from a sailor friend. I wanted to share the quote because today was a really beautiful reminder of the meaning of these words, and the reason for why I’ve chosen to live the way I do.

Happy to be alive today as yesterday was a bad day for me,  I was  laying in bed or around the boat with stomach pain! I don’t know what I ate, but it didn’t do me any good! I was lucky and it was just a 24h thing,  today I felt much better!

And today we went to La Loberia, it’s one of my favorite places in Galapagos.  This is the spot that made me return to San Cristobal after seeing some of the other islands 5 years ago.  AND 5 years ago in San Cristobal was also where I meet my husband! But that’s another story….

The reason I fell in love with La Loberia, was because  I swam with Sea lions for the first time and I had so much fun! And today It was a little bit different but still magical!

As it is Sunday today, there was a lot of people on the beach enjoying there day off. Last time there was just me and 3 more people, so I was a little disaponted. But as soon as I jumped in the water with Markus and we went snorkeling I was happy.

I got to see a nice little sea turtle and some nice fish. The water was a little cold and the visibility was not the best as there was some pretty nice small waves that you could surf.

I didn’t get to play with a sea lion in the water this time, but we got to hang out with them on land and see how the baby’s drank some milk from there mom. We saw a super cool sea iguana hanging out by the volcanic rocks, and just really nice nature. Epic place!
